For nearly twenty years, I had the incredible opportunity to live and work in the Middle East and North Africa. This has been a journey that has shaped my family’s adventures and memories in profound ways. Each post here reflects those experiences, showcasing the beauty and diversity of a truly fascinating part of the world. My adventure began in Egypt, where the ancient history and vibrant culture captivated my heart. It was here that I laid the foundation for my life abroad.
Shortly after, I moved to Qatar, where fate smiled upon me. I met my husband! Isn’t it amusing how two people found each other in a foreign land? This serendipitous encounter was just the beginning of our shared adventures. Over the years, we traveled extensively, discovering new cultures and landscapes. Yet we always seemed to circle back to the Middle East. With our children, we embraced the opportunity to live and explore in Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, each destination adding layers to our family narrative.
The region’s rich tapestry of traditions, the warmth of its people, and the stunning geographical features—from deserts to coastlines—have left an indelible mark on us.
