1. Explore Dubai’s Theme Parks
Dubai boasts world-class theme parks for endless family fun. IMG Worlds of Adventure offers exciting rides with Marvel and Cartoon Network themes. For water lovers, Aquaventure Waterpark features slides, a lazy river, and an aquarium. Want something unique? Visit Motiongate Dubai, where Hollywood comes to life with shows and rides. All three of these theme parks were on my family’s regular rotation of fun things to do when we lived in Dubai.

2. Experience the Dubai Desert
The desert is magical and unforgettable for families. Book a desert safari to enjoy dune bashing, camel rides, and sandboarding. Many tours offer cultural extras like henna painting, falconry, and traditional dance performances. This is a must-do; we did this with all of our friends and family who came to Dubai to see us. Don’t forget to admire the stunning sunset!

3. Visit KidZania Dubai
KidZania is a really great place for curious young minds. This indoor “mini-city” lets kids try out grown-up jobs like being a doctor, firefighter, or pilot. Located in Dubai Mall, it’s the perfect break from shopping while keeping the kids entertained. (Hint: it’s also a safe place to leave your kids while you go shopping or grab a bite to eat).
4. Discover the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo
Also located in the Dubai Mall, this aquarium wows visitors of all ages. Walk through a glass tunnel surrounded by sharks, rays, and vibrant fish. The underwater zoo also features fascinating creatures like penguins and giant crocodiles. It’s both educational and thrilling.

5. Spend a Day at Kite Beach
Kite Beach is the ultimate spot for outdoor family fun. Kids can enjoy the playground, splash areas, and beach sports. Parents can relax with a view of the Burj Al Arab. Bring a picnic or grab a bite from the food trucks lining the beach. Kite Beach was our favorite beach and we have so many great memories from there.

6. Experience the world at Global Village
Global Village is a seasonal outdoor attraction combining culture, shopping, and entertainment. Explore pavilions from around the world with interactive exhibits and shows. Kids love the carnival rides, stunt shows, and nightly fireworks. It’s an evening full of surprises!

Plan Ahead for an Enjoyable Trip
Dubai’s family attractions require some planning. Book tickets online to save time and avoid crowds. Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and opt for indoor activities during summer. Most importantly, take your time and soak in the experiences together!
