Family Favorite: Hotel Regina Louvre

When we traveled to Paris with our kids, Hotel Regina Louvre was ideal. It’s elegant without being stuffy and right across from the Louvre. The rooms feel regal, and the views of the Eiffel Tower from some windows are a major bonus. It’s central, walkable, and perfect for sightseeing as a family.

Eiffel Tower Vibes: Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel

When I ran the Paris Marathon, we booked at the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel to be close to the starting area, and it didn’t disappoint. The hotel is modern and spacious, and many rooms offer a stunning Eiffel Tower view. Perfect for first-time visitors who want that “I’m really in Paris!” feeling. It’s also a great location for early morning walks or evening picnics.

I was just about to start running in the Paris Marathon!

Historic Charm in the Latin Quarter: Hotel Cluny Square

For travelers who love Parisian character, Hotel Cluny Square is a mid-range gem in the Latin Quarter. It’s charming, intimate, and steps from Shakespeare & Company and the Seine. I love how this area feels like you’re living in a novel. Rooms are compact but romantic, with views of historic rooftops.

Affordable & Authentic: Hotel du College de France

This one takes me back to my childhood visits. Hotel du College de France is a clean, cozy budget hotel in a perfect spot. Located just off Rue des Écoles, it offers classic Paris charm at an affordable price. It’s close to the Sorbonne, the Panthéon, and lively cafés that locals actually use.

Budget Traveler Pick: MIJE Marais

For younger travelers, school groups, or anyone seeking affordability in a gorgeous setting, MIJE Hostels in the Marais are a smart option. I stayed here as a teacher-chaperone and was impressed. The buildings are historic, the vibe is safe and welcoming, and breakfast is included. Plus, the Marais is full of energy, falafel shops, boutiques, and hidden gardens.

Luxe Near the Champs: Hotel Splendid Etoile

For classic Parisian luxury near the Champs-Élysées, Hotel Splendid Etoile delivers. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to dress up for breakfast. The rooms are elegant and some overlook the Arc de Triomphe. It’s a favorite for school trips with adult chaperones—or couples who want to feel like royalty.

The Best Place to Stay in Paris Depends on Your Paris

Paris is a city that always feels like coming home, no matter where you stay. Whether you’re gazing at the Eiffel Tower, walking cobbled lanes in the Marais, or hearing Notre-Dame’s bells, the best place to stay in Paris is the one that matches your memories, or creates new ones. I’ve stayed all over, and every neighborhood has its own magic.
